About this service

The Datatreehaus hosted API is provided free of charge for personal use, research, evaluation, and non-commercial development. By creating an account and using an API key you agree to the terms on this page.

Permitted use

• —Personal projects and experimentation
• —Research and academic use
• —Building and evaluating non-commercial tools or prototypes
• —Internal tooling for your own organisation where the output is not resold

Prohibited use

• —Reselling, sublicensing, or embedding this service in a commercial product or service without written permission from Datatreehaus
• —Sharing your API key publicly or allowing third parties to use it
• —Attempting to circumvent rate limits or access controls
• —Scraping or bulk-exporting classification data for redistribution
• —Any use that violates applicable law

Rate limits

The free tier includes 500 requests per month per key. Requests exceeding this limit receive a 429 Too Many Requests response with a Retry-After header. Keys that sustain abusive traffic patterns may be revoked without notice.

Open-source code

The underlying MCP server code is released under the MIT licence and available on GitHub. The MIT licence applies to the code only — not to the hosted API service, which is governed by these terms.

Availability and changes

This service is provided as-is with no uptime guarantee. Datatreehaus reserves the right to revoke API keys, modify rate limits, or change these terms at any time. A free tier will always be available.
